Vacations by Design is a family owned and operated travel agency. Our love for people and our passion for travel combined with a purpose to record memories and give back to our community has provided our agency endless possibilities. We opened Vacations by Design, Inc. in 2004, as a home-based cruise only travel agency. Thanks to all of our many friends/clients, Vacations by Design has become a multifaceted travel agency offering Cruise Vacations, Tour Packages, Disney Adventures, Honeymoon Memories, and All Inclusive Resorts.

Nannette & George Gwaltney, Owners

Nannette, ECC

I have been in the travel business for 14 years. After graduation from travel school, I worked in several travel offices as an inside sales agent or an independent contractor. I have continued my education in the field of travel attaining the designation of 'Elite Cruise Counsellor'. My hobbies are traveling, playing bridge and dancing.

George. BSN, MHA

I am a retired Army Officer after 29 years service. I currently work part time as a Registered Nurse in Diabetes Research. I spend the rest of my time playing golf, enjoying my Masonic Work and helping Nannette with our business. I manage the web site and assist in escorting our many friends on cruises. Nannette and I enjoy Ballroom and Country Western dancing.

Jahnnette Brandt (Nannette's Daughter)

A Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education, a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership, and 18 years in the field of Education, all came to an end when I decided to join the family owned travel agency. My closest friends knew it would be a perfect job for me because of my love for travel. No one was a bit surprised, when, within a few months, I became a graduate of the "Disney College of Knowledge" and my friends began to call me the 'Queen of Disney'. The last few months I have been booking honeymoons, school trips, escorted bus tours and cruises. As a 'home mom' things have been quite busy with no indication that the future will be any different.

Jaron & Jonathan Brandt

Jaron, is our next generation tour director. At the age of 12 he escorted his first motor coach trip. Jaron, now 15, has escorted several motor coach trips and co-hosted cruises. He fell in love with cruising when he cruised the inside passage in Alaska. Be sure to watch for his blog entries on our website.

Jonathan attends a University on a Presidential Scholarship. When he is not studying or swimming he assists the agency by co-hosting cruises. He earned his sea legs as a working cruise director on the Panama Canal cruise. Since that time he and Jaron have hosted several other cruises to include Europe
